Facepalm Fashion: A Rant

Let me point out that I absolutely hate fashion and how people are obsessed with "what's in" because clothes are there to cover our backs. It's a material possession that shouldn't have as much value as it does. Anyway onto the rest..
I went to check my email on Yahoo, and upon pulling up the site, I see an article titled something like "What Were They Thinking?" It's all about people who are famous for no honestly good reason, and how what they wear is so terrible. REALLY? Do people really have nothing better to do with their lives? Criticize people's clothing whom they don't even know? Not like those people give a crap anyway because they're rich. Why would anyone waste their time with that, much less join in on picking on the people. First off clothing is an art/opinion. Not everyone likes the same things. Second, these people need to do something useful with their lives. Maybe they're making money with writing such crap, but how are they progressing the human race? They aren't. In fact, I would say that's regression because children pick on each other when they aren't comfortable with themselves. If you're going to write an article to the masses, please to God pick something that is worth writing about. It's so useless. They could be helping their community or writing about ideas on how to help or bringing up issues in the world that matter. But oh wait, who in the world would want to do that? That's a lot of work and being lazy is easy. If I didn't have a conscience, I too would make fun of other people for a living. I wonder what meaning or substance those people get out of their occupations. It's really sad actually. When I come home from work in the future, I want to be able to look at my day, week, month, or year and say "I'm making a difference by bettering myself and others, and I'm passionate about what I am doing." Even if it's just one person's life I'm making the difference in, it's better than saying "I don't like how you look," to someone who can't even hear you.
