Oh So Cliche

I've come to the realization that most cliches about life and people have some undiscovered, yet simply obvious meaning to them that open up life like a breath of fresh air, but they're so overused that the actual meaning is lost in translation when spoken. The truth of them is so beautiful that it really opens your eyes when you understand it. Unfortunately, the words of wisdom were passed down one too many times upon those who have eyes but are unwilling to truly see. So when one uses something over and over without really knowing what they are saying, the words turn into a mixture of syllables that are common language and shrugged off with ease. When the word love is used, so many contorted usages come to mind and people forget what love is and how to do it. It has no meaning until you close your eyes to the rest of world and it's ideas, and let your mind and heart take hold of it fully. Then when you let the world back in, you appreciate the cliche for what its true meaning holds, and hope whoever hears it next will smile amongst the warm truth instead of rolling their eyes, unknowing of its existence.
